The NEW issue graced cover photography and a featured editorial titled “DUNES 2000” with the late Shoji Ueda and ran a feature called, “Creators 2000 and Beyond” which saw Tokion rustle up over 60 of Japan’s boldest and brightest creators in this tribute to the never-ending search for that ever elusive NEW. This issue also featured a look at the “New American Film School” with Spike Jonze, Sofia Coppola, Todd Solondz, etc.
