Shibata’s Kami no Sora
This book is a collection of over four years of stories which were translated by Motoyuki Shibata into Japanese. Shibata’s selection of stories ranged from country to country and these he translated these stories particularly for his column in Papersky. Since his continuous run of articles came into book form, it’s been reprinted and reprinted more than a few times. The illustrations in the book were also all done by some of Japan’s best illustrators and ran with the column in each issue of Papersky. Shibata’s column continues to this today in each issue of Papersky, he still selects an author’s short story, whether famous or up and coming, and translates the work into Japanese for the first time.
